Coaches-in-Training (CIT) Program
For Players Ready to Lead
At PNW Tennis Titans, we believe leadership is developed through action.
The Coaches-in-Training (CIT) Program gives junior players the opportunity to step into a mentorship role supporting younger athletes while building confidence, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the game.
The Role
CITs work alongside Coach Melissa Lloyd to:
• Assist with youth lessons (ages 6–12)
• Help organize drills and manage court flow
• Demonstrate fundamentals and proper technique
• Encourage effort, focus, and sportsmanship
What You’ll Develop
• Leadership and presence on court
• Communication and teaching skills
• Stronger tennis fundamentals and IQ
• Responsibility and accountability
Who It’s For
• Middle and high school players
• Prior tennis experience required
• Positive, reliable, and coachable
• Interested in mentoring younger players
Schedule
• Primarily weekend mornings
• Flexible participation based on availability
Program Structure
• Volunteer (pro bono)
• Mentorship-based learning
• Opportunity to grow into paid assistant coaching roles
